Robert John English, age 76, of Floral City, FL passed away July 9, 2018 at Citrus Memorial Hospital, Inverness, FL. Robert was born on January 30, 1942 in Windsor, Ontario, Canada and went on to serve in the United States Navy. Prior to retiring, he performed Industrial Maintenance for the Cemex Corporation. Robert made Citrus County his home over 33 years ago after relocating from Texas. A Baptist by faith, he attended worship services at Floral City Baptist Church. Robert enjoyed working with and raising horses and cows, and loved his dogs. He also enjoyed woodworking in his spare time and spending time with his grandkids.
Those left to mourn Robert’s passing include his daughters: Cynthia Vanlue and her husband Justin of Hernando, FL, Kathern English of Homestead, FL; son, William Cole and his fiancée Brittany of Floral City, FL; and 10 grandchildren. He also leaves behind his girlfriend and companion of 17 years, Gail Wyman. Cremation care is under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
