Frank Luther Pullen, age 91, of Inverness, FL passed away at his home on Monday, July 9, 2018. Frank was born on October 12, 1926 in Creamridge, N.J. to the late Norman and Emily (Hulse) Pullen.
He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army and was a Veteran of World War II. After his military service he became a Contractor in the Construction Industry. On October 3, 1948, he married Patricia Ann Pullen with whom he shared 69 years of loving marriage until her passing on November 4, 2017. Frank and Patricia made Citrus County, FL their home in 1981 after relocating from New Jersey. A Baptist by faith, he was a member of the First Baptist Church of Inverness where he enjoyed singing with the choir for a number of years. In his spare time, Frank enjoyed fishing, gardening and hunting. He had also enjoyed the many cruises he took with his wife Patricia in years past.
Those left to mourn Frank’s passing are his sons: Mark Pullen of Inverness, FL; Brett Pullen and his wife Norma Jean of Inverness, FL; brothers: Ralph Pullen of New Jersey, Gene Pullen and his wife Pattie of Inverness, FL; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and special family members: Peggy Pullen, Robin Crocker (Goddaughter) and Robert C. Pullen, Jr.(Godson) along with several nieces, nephews and in-laws too numerous to mention them all by name; also Joanne Clark, caregiver. Frank was preceded in death by sons: Gary and Bryan Pullen; brothers: Norman and Robert Pullen; and sister, Jo Ellen Walter.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service is scheduled for Sunday, July 22, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Inverness with Pastor Byron Brown officiating. In lieu of flowers, Frank’s family requests that memorial donations be made in his memory to Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast, P.O. Box 641270, Beverly Hills, FL 34464. Arrangements are under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
