Everett E. Faulkner, age 79, of Homosassa, FL, passed away May 31, 2018 while under the care of Sturgill Hospice in Brooksville, FL. Everett was born in Benson, IL on September 14, 1938 to the late Keith and Ethel (Fickens) Faulkner. He was employed by the Caterpillar Heavy Machinery Company for 35 years as a Quality Control Inspector.
Everett was married to Donna (Burgdorf) for 35 years. He and Donna were Florida Snow Birds for several years before finally making Florida their permanent home 4 years ago. Methodist by faith, Everett attended worship services at the First United Methodist Church of Homosassa. Prior to relocating to Florida, he attended services at the Chillicothe Christian Church in Chillicothe, IL where he also worked as their Property Manager. In his spare time, Everett enjoyed fishing and woodworking. He also loved to travel and had been a member of an R.V. travel group.
In addition to his loving wife Donna, those left to mourn Everett’s passing include his daughters: Kim Farmer and her husband Tim of Chillicothe, IL, Gay Cribbs and her husband Duane of Eureka, IL, Angie Plunk of Eureka, IL, Becky Hobbs and her husband Kevin of Bellbrook, OH; sisters: Margie Gudat of Peoria Heights, IL, Linda Hire of Peoria, IL, Judy Lane of Arkansas, Kathy Davis of Washington, IL; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Everett was preceded in death by one brother, Arnold Faulkner.
Cremation care is under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
