Murdock “Bucky” Buchanan

Murdock “Bucky” Buchanan, 91, of Hernando, FL passed away April 30, 2018 at Grand Living at Citrus Hills, Citrus Hills, FL. He was born in Concord, NH on July 18, 1926 to the late Stanley Angus and Alice B. (Milligan) Buchanan.

Bucky was a cement salesman, and a WWII veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force. He was Protestant by faith, and arrived in this area in 2017, coming from Gray, ME. Bucky loved visiting family in Prince Edward Island, Canada. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, spending time outdoors, and meeting and talking to new people. He loved Boston sports, and thoroughly enjoyed being able to witness the Boston Red Sox winning the first World Series in his lifetime, back in 2004. He had a wonderful sense of humor.

Bucky is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Gloria Buchanan. Other survivors include children: Thomas H. Buchanan and his wife Pamela of The Villages, FL, Bette J. Harmon and her husband Paul of Inverness, FL, Debra Hale and her husband Donald of West Burke, VT, and Barbara J. Foster and her husband Philip of Gray, ME; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Private cremation arrangements are under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
