Mary Frances Carroll, 93 of Inverness, passed away April 13, 2018 at the Crystal River Health & Rehab Center. Mrs. Carroll was born in Indianapolis, IN on March 10, 1925 to the late Everett and Merle Vera Collings and came to Inverness in 1988 from Sebring, FL.
She was a long time member of the Inverness Golf & Country Club, a 50 year member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter No. 483 in Indianapolis and current member of O.E.S. Chapter 164 of Floral City and Inverness. She was particularly proud of that 50 year membership in Indianapolis. She enjoyed golfing, playing bridge, and china painting.
Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Nancy Darden and her husband, Gary of Inverness; Beverly Carroll of Georgetown, KY; 1 grandchild, Whitney Brewer and husband Ben of Georgetown, KY and 2 great grandchildren, Brody and Macy Brewer. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Kenneth (Casey) Carroll, her brother Robert Collings, and step mother, Maude Collings.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service on Wednesday, April 25th at 11:00 AM from the Chas E Davis Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Kell officiating. Burial will follow at a later date in Florida National Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the hour of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be extended to the Crystal River Health & Rehab Center, 136 N.E. 12th Ave., Crystal River, FL 34429 or the Citrus County Animal Shelter, 4030 So. Airport Road, Inverness, Fl 34452.
