Gordon Chester Gorsuch, 89, of Inverness, FL passed away April 9, 2018 at Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast in Lecanto, FL. He was born London, Ontario, Canada on June 21, 1928, and was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII.
Gordon was a glass worker for Libbey-Owens Ford Glass Company, and arrived in this area in 1978, coming from Toledo, OH. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Inverness, and enjoyed raising orchids, fishing, and spending time with his dog.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Nettie Viola Gorsuch; and 2 brothers, Robert and Donald Gorsuch. Gordon is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Shirley Gorsuch. Other survivors include his daughters, Cynthia J. Arnos of Liberty Center, OH, Grace Anne Miller and her husband Richard of Spring City, TN, and Diane Michele Boone of Inverness; 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Gordon’s urn will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL at a later date. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness is in charge of arrangements.
