Janice June Cherney, 81, of Inverness, FL passed away March 10, 2018 at her residence in Inverness. She was born in Lake, MI on November 9, 1936 to the late George B. and Arwilda W. (Clark) Loomis.
Janice was a Physical Therapist for the State of Michigan, and arrived in this area in 1987, coming from Muskegon, MI. She attended the 1st Christian Church of Inverness, and was an avid Detroit Tigers fan. Janice loved fishing and enjoyed knitting and crocheting.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Frank in 1986, and two sons, Robert L. and Edward J. Martin. Survivors include her daughters, Vicki A. Hayes and her husband Harvey of Erie, PA, Wendy L. Cherney, and Diana Needham and her husband John of Inverness; sisters Betty Dobson, Georgiana Hissong, Bonnie Dutcher, Diane Armstrong, and Kathleen Johnson; 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
