Lolita J Jayne

Lolita Joyce Jayne, 89, of Floral City, FL passed away February 28, 2018 at Citrus Health & Rehab in Inverness, FL. She was born in Laceyville, PA on February 20, 1929 to the late Burr and Daisey (Miller) Holdren.

Lolita was a homemaker, and arrived in this area in 1987, coming from Laceyville. She was a member of the Floral City United Methodist Church, where she was the church organist for 26 years. Lolita was very musical with both the piano and organ. She played organ for both the Order of the Eastern Star in Floral City, as well as in Inverness. Lolita was also an avid doll collector, loved reading, and was an excellent housekeeper.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 69 years, Lloyd L. Jayne in 2015, one son, William Jayne, two brothers, Harold and Robert Holdren; and one sister, Norma Storch. Survivors include her children, Rodney Jayne and his wife Michelle of Winder, GA, Alvin Jayne of Delran, NJ, Renee Chesner and her husband Steven of Meshoppen, PA, and Linda Tewksbury of Floral City; two sisters, Beryl Ciprich and Bonnie Jayne; 13 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held for Lolita at the Floral City United Methodist Church on Monday, March 12, 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Mary Gestrich officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Lolita’s urn will be laid to rest with her husband Lloyd at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL at a later date.
