Kathleen Marie Naczi, age 66, of Floral City, FL, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2018, at Citrus Memorial Hospital, Inverness. Kathleen was born on August 1, 1951 in Huntington, N.Y., to the late Margaret Mary (Nicholson) and William Joseph Naczi, Sr.
She moved to Floral City with her family at the age of 22 after relocating from New York. Kathleen was a traditional Roman Catholic by faith, and had made over 10,000 rosaries throughout the years that were supplied to missions all over the world. She was very skilled at knitting and crocheting. Kathleen crocheted and sent an afghan to President Donald Trump, for which she received a personal thank you letter from the White House. She became a wonderful friend to singer Glen Campbell from 2001 to 2009 and loved him dearly. She left love and a smile to all she met and was loved by many.
Those left to mourn Kathleen’s passing and cherish her precious memory are her sister, Mary Ann Naczi of Floral City, FL; brothers: William Joseph Naczi, Jr. and his wife Alice of Floral City, FL, Charles Edward Naczi and his wife Marie of Brooksville, FL, Michael Joseph Naczi of Anchorage, AK; nephews: Joseph William Naczi, Allen Williamson, Mason Williamson, Julian Williamson; nieces: Sonia Williamson, Bailee Williamson and Emma Williamson.
A funeral service of remembrance is planned for Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 3:00 PM from the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, with Father Tim Cummings of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, officiating. Friends are invited to join Kathleen’s family in visitation beginning at 2:00 PM until the hour of service. Following the service, burial will take place at Hills of Rest Cemetery, Floral City, FL. Arrangements are under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
