Guerino R. “Jerry” Marinelli, 77, of Inverness, FL passed away February 10, 2018 at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness. He was born in Gibbstown, NJ on July 8, 1940 to the late Angelo and Filomena (Marcelli) Marinelli.
Jerry was a firefighter, and served in the Merchant Marines. He arrived in this area in 1990 coming from Levittown, PA and attended Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Inverness. Jerry enjoyed Facebook, and was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan, as well as a history buff. He was preceded in death by one son, Angelo, one brother, Louis, and one sister, Irma.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Dianne Marinelli. He is also survived by his children Dan Marinelli and his wife Wendy of Lecanto, FL, Christopher Habermahl and his wife Rene of Los Angeles, CA, Michele Marinelli and Jennifer Marinelli-Rendall, both of Gibbstown, NJ, and Christie Marinelli of Lake Wylie, SC; brother Angelo Marinelli and sister Mary Manni; and 5 grandchildren, Mason, Falyn, Kayla, Melina, and CJ.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Jerry is scheduled for Saturday, February 24, 11:00 A.M. at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL with Fr. Claudius Mganga, officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Jerry’s name to: Gibbstown Fire Department, 700 E. Broad Street, Gibbstown, N.J. 08027
