Ronald Joseph Kuzdzal, 81, Inverness, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2018 at Arbor Trail Rehab & Nursing, in Inverness. Born on August 8, 1936 in Buffalo, NY, to the late Joseph and Nellie (Kantorski) Kuzdzal, he came to Citrus County in 2000 from Clearwater, FL. Ronald was a parishioner at Our Lady of Fatima Church and a US Army Veteran where he primarily served as a cooking instructor. Ronald played hockey in the minor leagues and was a baseball coach. He was a retired financial adviser with the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. Following retirement, he enjoyed working with his flowers in his garden and was an avid Rays baseball fan.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters: Kathleen Thrumston of Inverness and Ann Marie Kuzdzal of Leesburg. 1 grandson, Tyler Joseph Thrumston. Ronald was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanne Alice (Day) Kuzdzal, and 5 brothers: Joseph, Gerald, Adelbert, Melvin and Leslie.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Inverness, with Fr. Claudius Mganga, Celebrant. Ronald’s urn will be placed in the columbarium at Curlew Hills Memory Gardens in Palm Harbor, FL. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 AM until the service.
