Margaret “Margie” Carter, age 64, of Brooksville, FL, passed away January 22, 2018 at Brooksville Regional Hospital, Brooksville, FL. Margie was born in Pennsylvania on September 15, 1953 and was Catholic by faith.
She made Brooksville her home in 1985 after relocating from St. Petersburg, FL but also considered Citrus County her home since she resided at the Hernando and Citrus County lines. On February 24, 1995, she married D. Wayne Carter with whom she shared 22 years of marriage.
Margie worked as a machinist for a plastics injection molding company throughout her lifetime and enjoyed riding in her golf cart, gardening and growing vegetables in her spare time. She also liked playing Bingo with her friends and also taking trips to the Casino with her sister. Margie had a tremendous love for animals and owned 7 miniature horses at one time. She will be especially missed by her beloved Chihuahua, “Boo Boo”.
In addition to her husband Wayne, Margie’s passing will be mourned by her daughter, Jennifer Anderson of Brooksville, FL and her sister, Fran Bryant of New Port Richey, FL.
A celebration of Margie’s life is planned for Sunday, February 4, 2018 at 3:00 PM from the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Father Claudius Mganga of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church officiating. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home beginning at 2:00 PM until the hour of service. Arrangements are under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
