Pat A. Bresnahan, age 66, of Lecanto, FL, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Oak Hill Hospital, Brooksville, FL. Pat was born on October 5, 1951 in Miami, FL, to John Michael Bresnahan and the late Mildred (Turner) Bresnahan.
On July 3, 1970, he married Patricia Snow with whom he shared 47 years of loving marriage. They made Citrus County their home in 1973 after relocating from Miami, FL. Pat was an entrepreneur throughout his lifetime and was the owner and operator of his own construction business. In his spare time, he enjoyed racing stock cars and had raced locally in Citrus County and also in New Smyrna, FL. Pat also liked fishing and building and working on things in his garage. He also cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren.
In addition to his loving wife Patricia, those left to mourn Pat’s passing include his sons: Michael Bresnahan and his wife Kim of Lecanto, FL, Chris Bresnahan of Ocala, FL; daughter, Rebecca Bresnahan of Sorrento, FL; brothers: Joseph Bresnahan of Lecanto, FL, Phillip Bresnahan of Ecuador, South America; sister, Brenda Hawthorne of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and grandchildren: Blaise, Chase, Kayden and Dylan.
Friends are invited to visit with Pat’s family on Thursday, January 25, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL. His family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made in his memory to the Citrus Aid Cancer Foundation, 522 N. Lecanto Hwy., Lecanto, FL 34461 or citrusaid.org.
