Lola Law, 87, Dunnellon, FL passed away January 13, 2018 at home following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Law was born in Tampa, FL Dec. 30, 1930 to the late George C. and Josey (Fisk) Brant and came to Citrus County in 1993 from Ocala.
She was a retired Registered Nurse and a very active member of the Hernando United Methodist Church. Her life was dedicated to helping others. She dearly loved and cared for her family, especially her grandchildren. Lola joined the Peace Corps where she was able to travel and assisted many people as a nurse in all walks of life. She also worked for the Bureau of Indian Affairs at Fort Defiance, AZ. At home, she enjoyed working in her garden and taking care of her roses and lilies. She enjoyed fishing and loved teaching the grandchildren the “art of catching a fish”.
Left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory is her daughter, Donna Hills of Beverly Hills, FL; 2 step daughters, Gwendolyn Law of Ocala and Kay Fales and her husband, Gary of Ocala; 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert H. Law on Aug 19, 2008, her son, Bradley D. Cole, her brother, George Cliston Brant, and her sisters, Lucille McKay and Janell Markert.
The will be a Celebration of Life on Monday, January 22, 2018 at 11:30 AM from the Hernando United Methodist Church with Rev. David Spaulding officiating. Burial will follow beside her husband at Florida National Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 AM until the service begins. In lieu of flowers, memorials are being accepted by the Hernando United Methodist Church Youth Fund, 2125 E. Norvell Bryant Highway, Hernando, FL 34442
