Martin A Tipper

Martin Ashel Tipper, Sr., 87, of Inverness, FL passed away January 12, 2018 at Arbor Trail Rehab & Nursing in Inverness. He was born in Sheldon, VT on December 29, 1930 to the late John and Harriet (Preston) Tipper.

Martin was a retired police officer, and a U.S. Army Korean War veteran. He arrived in this area in 1997, coming from Killingly, CT and was a Methodist by faith. Martin enjoyed fishing, watching car races, and working in his garden.

He was preceded in death by one son, Carroll John Tipper, one daughter, Amy Simonds, 3 brothers, Lawrence, John, and Howard Tipper, and 2 sisters, Margaret Bevins and Odessa Cary. Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Dorothy Tipper. Other survivors include his children, Martin A. Tipper, Jr. and his wife Brenda, and Marcia Baker and her husband Michael, all of Greer, SC, Cheryl Boisvert and her husband Paul of Inverness, brother Paul Tipper; 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Private cremation arrangements under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness.
