John Walter Romish, 66, of Inverness, FL passed away January 7, 2018 at his residence in Inverness. He was born in Woodbury, NJ on October 24, 1951, and made Inverness home in 1983. He was a dedicated Firefighter.
John was a proud boat captain and fishing guide, and loved hunting, fishing, and watching college baseball. He was also a volunteer for Florida Wildlife Conservation.
He was preceded in death by his father Nicholas John Romish. Left to mourn his passing are his daughters, Jenn Doak and her husband Brian of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Heather Vallee of Sunrise, FL; brother David Romish and his wife Pat of Inverness; sister Cathy Holliday and her husband Mark of Homosassa, FL; his mother, Mary B. Rood; and 4 grandchildren, Lexi, Brennan, Emily and Brady, niece Caitlin and great-nephew Tyler.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held for John at the Holder Mine Campgound Site 12 on Saturday, January 20, from 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. Cremation arrangements under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness.
