John Frederick Elmore, age 60, passed away January 6, 2017 at Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast. He was born October 17, 1957 in Copiague, New York to the late Theodore and Marion (Miller) Elmore and moved here 3 years ago from New York. He retired from the Bethpage, NY school system as a custodian and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Lecanto. John enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and spending time in his garden.
Left to cherish his memory are his 3 children, John Elmore Jr. of Manorville, NY; Kyle Elmore of Bayshore, NY, and Kimberly Elmore of Centereach, NY; his sister, Frances Austin of Lecanto, FL; and his granddaughter, Corrine. John was preceded in death by his brother, Theodore T. Elmore.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, January 12, 2018 at 10:00 AM from the Chas E Davis Funeral Home with Mr. Jerry Campbell officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Florida National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the Disabled American Veterans or the American Cancer Society.
