Thomas George Heller, 89, Inverness passed away January 2, 2018 at home under the care of his family and Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast. Tom was born in Monroe, MI on February 11, 1928 to the late Clarence and Sarah (Maurer) Heller and came to Florida in 1988 from Dix Hill, NY. He retired from the Leviton Manufacturing Company as a Division Manager and served our country in the U.S. Navy. Tom was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Parish, the Knights of Columbus (Monroe, MI), and the Inverness Elks Lodge.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 67 years, Marilyn (Knowles) Heller; his daughter, Lynn E. Heller, Ocala, FL; daughter in law, Meg Heller, Longmont, CO; 2 grandchildren, Sarah Heller Stamp (Adam) and Catherine Heller; great granddaughter, Amelia Stamp; godson, Jacques Goulet, Vero Beach, FL; He was preceded in death by his son, John Alan Heller on July 12, 2012 and his sister, Ruth Goulet.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered from Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 10:00 AM with Fr. Tim Cummings, celebrant. Interment will be in Florida National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial requested to Hospice of Citrus & The Nature Coast, Following services, friends are invited back to the family’s residence for a luncheon. Arrangements are under the direction of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory.
