Nancy DuBois

Nancy Rogers DuBois, 89, of Inverness, FL passed away December 27, 2017 at her residence in Inverness. She was born in Des Moines, IA on October 2, 1928 to the late Burton F. and Marjorie (Green) Bristow.

Nancy was a dedicated homemaker, and arrived in this area in 1992, coming from Bismarck, N.D. She was an Episcopal by faith, and held memberships with the Inverness Golf & Country Club, the P.E.O. International Women’s Organization, the Kappa Kappa Gamma Women’s Sorority of the University of Iowa, the Jr. League of Des Moines, and was also a graduate of Iowa State College. Nancy was an avid Republican, and enjoyed playing bridge and reading cookbooks.

She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, James DuBois; her sons, Barry Rogers and his wife Krista of Prairie Village, KS, Robert L. Rogers and his wife Dona of Wickford, RI, and Peter Rogers of Des Moines, IA; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth Hughart of Ft. Pierce, FL.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, January 6, 11:00 A.M. at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness with Fr. Eugene Reuman, officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service. Nancy’s urn will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL at a later date.
