Richard M. McMillen, 78, Lecanto, FL passed away December 25, 2017 under the care of Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast. He was born in Kalamazoo, MI on October 12, 1939 to the late Richard E. and Maybelle (Redding) McMillen.
Richard was a draftsman and supervisor in the automotive industry, and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He arrived in this area in 2013, coming from TN, and was a member of the American Legion Post 155, Crystal River. Richard loved going to the casino.
He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Emily A. McMillen. Other survivors include his children, David and Michael Romaine of Jacksonville, FL, and Kelly and Kerri McMillen of Michigan; brother John McMillen of Gainesville, FL; step-children Sandy Garmany-Sidoti, Cindy Mettler, Lisa Kremkon, John and Steven Drye; 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Richard’s urn will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL at a later date. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL is in charge of arrangements.
