James T Rinnier Sr

James Thomas Rinnier, Sr., age 85, of Inverness, passed away at his residence on December 15, 2017. James was born on July 9, 1932 in Salem, N.J. to the late Edward A. and Elizabeth (Loper) Rinnier. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force and was a Veteran of the Korean War. After his military service, James was employed as a Truck Driver for the New Jersey Department of Transportation.

He was married to his wife Juanita for 60 years until her passing on May 27, 2013. James and Juanita made Citrus County their home in 1986 after relocating from Pennsgrove, N.J. He was a member of the Serviceman’s Club and the Inverness Elks Lodge #2522. James greatly enjoyed eating breakfast at The Hen House in Inverness on a daily basis.

Those left to mourn James’ passing are his son, James Thomas Rinnier, Jr. of Inverness, FL; brother, Larry Rinnier and his wife Mary Lou of New Port Richey, FL; and grandson, Thomas James Rinnier. In addition to his wife, James was preceded in death by his daughter in law, Elaine Rinnier.

A celebration of life memorial service is planned for Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 11:00 AM from the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Reverend Greg Kell of Cornerstone Baptist Church officiating. Friends are invited to join James’ family in visitation beginning at 10:00 AM until the hour of service. James’ urn will be laid to rest along side his wife Juanita, at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL at a later date.
