John Walter Wood, age 73, of Beverly Hills, FL, passed away December 1, 2017 at Citrus Memorial Hospital, Inverness. John was born on September 11, 1944 in Taunton, MA to the late Albert David and Frances (Smith) Wood. On April 2, 1977 he married Suzan (Jackson) with whom he shared 40 years of marriage. John and Suzan made Florida their home 13 years ago after relocating from Franklin, N.C. He greatly enjoyed singing and had formed a quartet. He loved watching sports on television and had received a Master of Divinity Degree.
In addition to his wife Suzan, those left to mourn John’s passing include his son, Matthew; daughters: Debbie, Teresa, Cheryl, Kathy, Peggy Sue; sister, Lorraine Wood of N. Kingstown, R.I.; and a great many grandchildren and great grandchildren. John’s family plan to lay his urn to rest at Dunedin Cemetery, Dunedin, FL at a later date. Cremation care is under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
