Robert L Mullins

Robert L. Mullins, 59 of Inverness, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2017 under the loving care of his family and Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast in Lecanto. Robert was born on August 7, 1958 in Panama to the late Earl and Mary (Mallia) Mullins and came to Citrus County in 2006 from Alabama. He was a facilities manager with the Federal Bureau of Prisons and was Catholic by faith.

Robert was a member of the Panama Society, a group of ex-patriots from the Canal Zone who would get together once a year. He enjoyed boating and spending time with his family. He loved being a grandpa, and was very generous and would do anything to help out the ones he loved. Robert was proud of his service with the Bureau of Prisons and especially proud of his service with the Special Operations Response Team.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Melynda “Mindy” Mullins, his children: Dillon Mullins, of Delaware, Matthew Mullins of Inverness, Robert Mullins of Colorado and Kaitlin Mullins of Gainesville, FL; his brothers: Earl, Daniel, Clifford, James and Joseph, his sister, Kathleen and his 5 grandchildren: Gracie, Conner, Oliver, Saylor and Finley.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Robert will be conducted on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at 2:00 PM from the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Fr. Tim Cummings, of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until service time. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness.
