Rona T. Cooper, 74, Inverness passed away November 10, 2017 in Citrus Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Cooper was born in Baltimore, MD on April 22, 1943 to the late George and Willie Mae (Crosby) Turner, Jr. She was a retired special education teacher and worked for the Citrus County Board of Education at the Crest School in Lecanto, FL.
Left to cherish her memory are her 2 sons, Brian G. Hopper of Jupiter, FL and Larry Dale Hopper and his wife, Shannon Parramore of San Antonio, TX; 2 “special daughters”, Jamie Barker and Sue Jordan; 2 brothers, Trey Turner and wife Barbara of Cary, NC; W.J. “Crosby” Turner, Atlanta, GA; 1 sister, E. Ann Turner Novkov and her husband Tim of Ocala, FL; 2 grandchildren, Sienna and Marena Parramore.
At Rona’s request, there will be no public service. Burial will be private in the Citra Cemetery, Citra, FL. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home of Inverness, FL is assisting the family.
