Joyce Jewel Swenson, 88 of Spring Hill, FL, passed away Monday, October 9, 2017 at Mimi’s Care Cottage in Spring Hill. Joyce was born on January 26, 1929 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late Harvey and Madeline (Cox) Johnson.
Joyce came to this area in 1990 from Crystal Beach, FL. She was a baker in the hospitality industry working at the Innisbrook Country Club for 13 years. She was Lutheran by faith. Joyce loved to fish, bake and was an excellent cook!
Left to cherish her memory are her son, John N. Swenson and Cindy of New Auburn, WI; her daughter, Lori J. Swenson of Land O’ Lakes, FL; her sister, Darlene Zache, Hartland, WI; 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hilman Swenson on January 27, 2011; son, Gary Swenson in 2016; and daughter, Linda Joyce Swenson in 1963.
Following cremation, Joyce’s urn will be interred at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL, with her husband, Hilman Swenson. Cremation care is under the direction of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory in Inverness.
