Jerrill H.”Jerry” Dawson, age 75, of Inverness, FL, passed away on Monday, October 9, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Tampa, FL. Jerrill was born on June 15, 1942 in Portsmouth, VA to the late Edwin and Sylbia (Mynes) Dawson.
On August 19, 1967, he married Patricia Drumheller, with whom he shared 50 years of marriage. In 2002, Jerrill and Patricia made Citrus County, FL their home after relocating from Robesonia, PA. They attended worship services at the First Presbyterian Church of Inverness. He was a Mig Welder by trade and had been employed by General Motors. While residing in Pennsylvania, he was a member of the Lebanon Valley Sportsman’s Club and the Robesonia Fire Company. Jerrill was also a member of the UAW Steelworkers Union Local 3733. In his spare time he greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his loving wife Pat, those left to mourn Jerrill’s passing are his twin brother, Merrill Dawson and his wife Elizabeth of Reading, PA; brother, Damond Dawson, his wife Janet and their family of The Villages, FL; and sister in law, Barbara Dawson and her family of Robesonia, PA. Jerrill was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Dawson in 2002, and his 3 sisters: Janet, Lynda and Beverly.
A Celebration of Jerry’s Life will take place on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 1:30 PM at Ozgood’s Neighborhood Grill, 319 E. Penn Avenue, Robesonia, PA. Cremation care is under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
