Peter T. Falotico, age 94, of Inverness, FL, passed away at his residence on Thursday, October 5, 2017. Peter was born on August 21, 1923 in New York, N.Y. to the late Guliano and Theresa (Russo) Falotico. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy and was a Veteran of World War II.
After his military service, Peter worked as a Mechanical Engineer for the New York City Transit Authority for 32 years. He was married to Eleanor Marie (Kelly) for 50 years until her passing in on September 18, 1999. Peter and Eleanor made Citrus County their home in 1984 after relocating from Ozone Park, N.Y. Peter dedicated 30 years to the Inverness Neighborhood Crime Watch program and was a parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Inverness. He greatly enjoyed traveling and taking care of his vegetable garden and fruit trees.
Those left to mourn Peter’s passing include his son, Robert Falotico and his wife Theresa of Royal Palm Beach, FL; sister, Rosemary Ferro of South Carolina; grandchildren: Kristina and Robert; and great grandchildren: Wyatt and Diane. In addition to his wife Eleanor, he was preceded in death by son, Peter Falotico, Jr.; brothers: John and Mike; and sisters: Ann, Josephine and Mary.
A funeral service is planned for Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 11:00 AM from the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Father Claudius Mganga of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 AM until the hour of service. Burial will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, with full military honors.
