John Francis Trombetta, age 68, of Inverness, FL, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Promise Hospital, Oxford, FL. John was born on February 4, 1949 in Bronx, N.Y. to the late Joseph and Anita (Russo) Trombetta. On October 5, 1968 he married Diane Bertucci with whom he shared 49 years of loving marriage.
In 1980, John and Diane made Citrus County their home after relocating from New York. A Methodist by faith, he attended services and was an active member of the Floral City United Methodist Church where he was an acolyte and usher. John’s other church responsibilities included operating audio visual equipment for services and acting as administrator for the churches website and online social media accounts. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, watching sports and was especially a fan of the New York Yankees and the New York Giants. John loved spending time with his family and was a devoted and loving husband and father.
In addition to his wife Diane, John will be mourned by his devoted daughter, Allison Trombetta of Inverness, FL. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Trombetta.
In lieu of gifts or flowers, his family requests memorial donations be made in John’s memory to Ministries and Missions of Floral City United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 47, Floral City, FL 34436.
Cremation care is under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
