Edward A. “Ray” Skinner, 85, Cross City and former resident of Floral City died September 29, 2017 in Haven Hospice in Chiefland, FL. Ray was a Citrus County native, born October 14, 1931 to the late George H. and Beckie (Johnson) Skinner and lived in Floral City most of his life. He was a retired heavy equipment operator in the construction industry and served our country in the U.S. Army. He attended The First Baptist Church of Floral City.
He is survived by his son, Roy Skinner and his wife, Sandra of Cross City, FL. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mellie Louise Skinner April 24, 2006. They were married 54 years. He also lost a brother, Claude Skinner and two sisters, Maggie Lovett and Louise Lanier.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 11:00 AM from the Chas E Davis Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Hills of Rest Cemetery, Floral City. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the hour of service.
