Charles S Ballou

Charles Stanley Ballou, age 79, of Inverness, FL, passed away Sunday, August, 6, 2017 at Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast, Lecanto. Charles was born on October 17, 1937 in Chepachet, R.I. to the late Alden and Bertha (DeVaudreuil) Ballou.

On August 22, 1959 he married Judith (Boisvert) with whom he shared 58 years of marriage. Charles worked as a carpenter and superintendent in the construction industry and made Citrus County his home in 1982 after relocating from Carolina, RI. A Catholic by faith, he was a parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Inverness and a former member of the Knights of Columbus. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, building things and tinkering in his garage.

In addition to his wife Judith, those left to mourn Charles’ passing are his son, Charles Ballou, Jr. of Chepachet, RI.; daughters: Tammy Huggins and Deborah Fiori, both of Inverness, FL; sister, Gertrude O’Hann of Connecticut; 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard Ballou, Alden Ballou and sisters: Rose Babbit, Bertha Waters, Rita Beccari.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 10:00 AM from Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Inverness, FL, with Father Tim Cummings, Celebrant. Arrangements under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
