Lorraine Alice McKenzie, 89 of Inverness, passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2017, at home under the loving care of her family and Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast. Lorraine was born on February 4, 1928 in Hudson Falls, New York to the late Louis P. and Margaret L. (O’Connell) LeClair.
She and her late husband, William came to Citrus County in 1983 from Greenfield Center, New York. She was a clerk for 12 years in the New York School System and Catholic by faith. In her spare time, Lorraine enjoyed needle crafts (knitting and crochet), she loved to read and to travel.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Dennis LaFoe of Tampa, Lorraine A. Dalbow of Inverness, Lee Ann Robinson of Bushnell and Carol Marie Milligan of Greenfield Center, New York; her brothers: Edward LeClair and Ronald LeClair both of Corinth, New York and Leo LeClair of Gansevoort, New York; her sister, Janice Sitts of Corinth, New York; and her eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William on December 29, 1989 and her brothers: John LeClair and Thomas LeClair.
Prayers for Lorraine will be offered on Monday, August 7, 2017 at 11:30 AM from the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home in Inverness. Burial will follow beside her late husband, at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 6-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to St. Jude’s Hospital, Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast or a charity of your choice.
