Sharon Rae Gurnsey, 73, Inverness passed away July 20, 2017 at Hospice of Citrus and The Nature Coast. Sharon was born in Elmira, NY on February 8, 1944, to the late Raymon C. and Florence (Seymour) VanZile and came to this area in 2012 from Troy, PA. She retired from Oak Hill Veneer of Troy, PA as a bookkeeper with 14 years of service and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Troy.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 51 years, George L. Gurnsey, Inverness; 2 children, DeAnna L. Carpenter, Trout Run, PA and Michelle L. Kallaugher and her husband Sean of Berlin, CT; 1 sister, Gladys Starkey, Columbia Cross Roads, PA; 1 brother, LaRue S. VanZile, Mainesburg, PA; 3 grandchildren, Meagan Rae Jennings, Samantha L. Carpenter, and Sydney Rae Kallaugher.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Wed., Aug 2, 2017 at the First Presbyterian Church of Inverness with Pastor Ron Pfeifer officiating. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home With Crematory of Inverness, FL is assisting the family.
