Ralph Allen is preceded in physical death by his brother Ralph Allen Wellman, I; his mother Hedy; and both sets of grandparents, in addition to step mother Sally Wellman, her children, Cathy Heath, Greg and Timothy Grove and Brenda Heaven. He is survived by his three children: Codi Lynn, Anthony Allen and Zachary Ryan; his father, James and his siblings, Jeffery Scott, James Patrick, Donna Ann, Carolyn Patricia, Kelly Jo and Jessie Lee. His step sisters: Lori and Marcia and step brothers Denny and John. Ralph Allen was blessed to have a very large extended family which is made up of grandson, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and chosen loved ones that became de facto family members.
He moved to Citrus County in the late 70’s and attended Lecanto High School. While he was a larger than life personality he was also shy in some ways. During this adolescence, Ralph Allen really focused on music and riding motor bikes with his siblings and friends. As he transitioned into adulthood, he celebrated his marriages and the birth of his three beautiful children in 1989, 1998 and 2000. Family played a pivotal role in his life from the very beginning.
In his heart, Ralph Allen was a zealous family man who loved with every fiber of his being. The love he had for his children radiated warmth, compassion and unwavering commitment. His love for all his family and friends manifest itself in every day acts of kindness, made extraordinary by his steadfastness. He seldom met a stranger and could talk your leg off. Once a person became a friend, they were friends for life.
Ralph Allen liked to have intellectual sparring matches and would often take the opposing point of view just to create lively discussion. Ralph Allen’s life and relationships exemplify the purest ideals of, 1 Corinthians 13:13; And now abides faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
His funeral services are scheduled for Friday, July 14th. The family will host a visitation starting at 2:00 p.m. and the funeral service will start at 3:00 p.m. at Chas E.
