Frances M. Guy

Frances M. Guy, 83 of New Port Richey, formerly of Floral City, FL, passed away on June 30, 2017 at Gulfside Hospice at Heather Hill in New Port Richey. Frances was born to the late Pete and Alma (Corbett) Barnard on October 5, 1933, in Ware County, Georgia.

She came to Citrus County in 1989 from Tampa, where she worked as a toll booth cashier at Tampa International Airport, for many years. Frances was Baptist by faith. She loved country music, Elvis Presley, dancing and spending time with her family and enjoyed traveling and taking cruises.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Jerry L. Guy of Live Oak, FL and Laverne Howie and her husband Tom of Land O Lakes, FL; her sister, Jesse Williams and her husband Nash of Gainesville, GA; 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and her extended family. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Noah on Nov. 3, 2003.

Funeral services for Frances will be conducted on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at 3:00 PM from the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home in Inverness, with Rev. Greg Kell, officiating. Burial will follow at the Hills of Rest Cemetery in Floral City. The family will be receiving friends in visitation one hour prior to the service.
