Joseph Thomas Ferguson, 53 of Inverness, passed away at his home on Tuesday, June 27, 2017. Joe was born in Hoboken, New Jersey on September 15, 1963, to the late Joseph Thomas and Frieda (Eichler) Ferguson. He came here in 1974 from Hackensack, New Jersey. Joe was a block mason in the construction industry.
Joe enjoyed spending time with his family, including his wife of 26 years, Cheryl Ferguson, his daughters: Serenity Stewart of Inverness and Jennifer Stewart of Beverly Hills; his sons: Jonathan Stewart of Boston, MA and Michael Stewart of Texas; his brothers: Edward Ferguson of Inverness, Donald Ferguson of Pine Ridge and Stephen Ferguson of Melbourne; his sister, Lorraine Cherryhomes of Dunnellon, in addition his 4 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 11:00 AM from the Hills of Rest Cemetery in Floral City, with Rev. Doug Alexander, officiating. Friends may call at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home of Inverness, on Thursday from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM, when the procession will leave for the cemetery.
