Frances Walker, age 101, Inverness passed away June 24, 2017 at home under the loving care of her family and Hernando Pasco Hospice. Mrs. Walker was born in Ashe County, NC on August 27, 1915, the second of eleven children, to the late William Oscar and Effie (Roark) Sapp. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith. She especially enjoyed doing needlework, quilting, and spending time with her family.
Left to cherish her memory are her three children, Joyce Porter, Inverness, FL, William Walker and Benjamin Walker and his wife, Vicki, residing in Archer, FL and; 1 brother and 1 sister, Harold Sapp of Oxford, PA and Doris Jackson and her husband Don, Orlando, FL; 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Benjamin Walker in February, 1995 and 7 brothers and sisters and 1 sister.
Funeral services and burial will be conducted Friday, June 30, 2017 at the Ashelawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens in Crumpler, NC. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, FL, assisted the family with local arrangements.
