Welton K. Clay, 94, Inverness passed away suddenly at home on June 19, 2017. Mr. Clay was born on March 26, 1923 in Stallo, MS to the late William and Nanabelle (Farrish) Clay and came to Florida in 1986 from Deer Park, NY. He was a retired meat cutter and served our country in the U.S. Navy, both during WW II and Korea.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 32 years, CarolAnn (Cammarata) Clay; 2 sons, Steven Clay and wife Cathy of Brunswick Hills, OH; Glenn Clay and wife Mary, St James, NY; 1 daughter, CarolAnn Giordano, Hernando, FL; 1 sister, Margaret Bailey, Milledgeville, GA; 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, June 23, 2017 at 2:30 PM from the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Pastor Kennie Berger officiating. Additional services and burial will follow in Calverton National Cemetery. Friends may call at the Chas E Davis Funeral Home on Friday from 1:00 PM until the hour of service.
