Ruby Watson, age 85, of Winter Park, FL and formerly of Inverness, passed away at Florida Hospital of Orlando on Sunday, June 11, 2017. Ruby was born on March 13, 1932 in Mt. Olivet, KY to the late Rex and Inez (Hall) Watson. She was employed as an Intelligence Research Specialist for the United States Government for over 30 years. Ruby made Inverness her home in 2010 after relocating from Stuart, FL and had recently moved to Winter Park to reside with her daughter. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and playing gin rummy. Ruby also loved to ride Harley Davidson Motorcycles when she was younger.
Those left to mourn Ruby’s passing include her sons: Fred Wilson and his wife Pat of Kentucky, Rex Wilson and his wife Michele of Floral City, FL, Michael Watson of Oregon; daughter, Lisa Lynn Ueltschi and her husband Robert of Winter Park, FL; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by daughter, Diane Wilson in 1978.
A Funeral Service of Remembrance is planned for Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at 3:00 PM from the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory with Reverend Mary Gestrich of the United Methodist Church of Floral City officiating.
