George H. “Buck” Tyler, 81 of Trenton, FL, passed away Friday, June 9, 2017 at the Tri County Nursing Home in Trenton. Buck was born on June 10, 1935 in Palatka, FL.He is preceded in death by his parents Bryant and Olivia (Bellamy) Tyler and his sister Lolita (Tyler) Hurley. He owned and operated Tyler’s Grocery in Newberry, FL. Buck also served on the Commission for the City of Newberry. He was Baptist by faith.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 41 years, Maxine V. (Hunter) Tyler; his sister, Ruby Payne of Doyline, LA; his children: George H. (Cathy) Tyler Jr of MacClenny, FL, Teresa (Carl) Williams of Graham, FL, Sybil (David Lambert) Tucker ofKnoxville, TN, Ruby (Michael) Bissell of Port Orange, FL, Marie (Ken) Engel of St. Augustine, FL his step children: Dudley (Amanda) Bond, Brooksville, FL, Judy (Robert) Arick of Brooksville, FL, Susan (Billy) Brown, Brooksville, FL, Wendy (George) Bauer, Sebring, FL, 21 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Haven Hospice-Chiefland-Tri-Counties Care Center. The family will have a Celebration of Life barbeque in Buck’s honor on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 1:00 PM at his beloved “River House”.
