Rodney Olian Dyer, age 68, of Inverness, FL passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 while surrounded by his loving family at Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast, Lecanto. Rodney was born on October 22, 1948 in Rangeley, ME to the late Olian and Geraldine (Guay) Dyer.
He made Citrus County his home 18 years ago after relocating from Falls Village, CT. In his spare time he enjoyed bowling, playing cribbage and horseshoes. Rodney loved cars and was especially a fan of Chrysler automobiles. He will be remembered as a kind, loving and generous man who was not only a friend but a father figure to many people that knew him and will be missed dearly.
Rodney’s loss will be mourned by his son, Gerald “Gary” Dyer of Inverness, FL; daughter, Allison Palmer of Canan, CT; sisters: Norma Angelos of Eagle Lake, FL and Judith Rosenberg of Las Vegas, NV; grandaughters: Amberly, Natalie and Hazel Palmer of Canan, CT.
Private cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
