Jack L. Saddlemire, 77, of Floral City, FL, formally of Binghamton, NY passed away April 1, 2017 at his residence in Floral City surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 18, 1939 in Barker, NY to the late Lee and Pearl (Witter) Saddlemire. Jack graduated from Harpursville, NY and proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Afterward, he worked as a loan officer for Broome County, then in construction for Winkleman’s, Lane’s Construction, as well as Hudson River Construction. He formally owned the Lincoln Hotel in Binghamton, and Jack’s Place in Windsor, NY.
Jack was preceded in death by his loving daughter, Kelie L. Saddlemire; brother Lee Saddlemire; sister Midge Gregory and her husband David; brothers-in-law Floyd Smith, and Harry Reynolds; mother-in-law Marilyn P. Jennings and father-in-law Albert Jennings.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Brenda L. Saddlemire. Other survivors include his son, Timothy Saddlemire and his wife Wendy of St. Petersburg, FL; daughter Cindy Martin and her husband Edward of Johnson City, NY; 3 grandsons, Travis Saddlemire, EJ and Gabriel Martin; granddaughter Brandie Kaye; sisters Barbara Jean Wilson and her husband Richard, Pearl Smith, and Beverly Long; brother Frank Saddlemire and his wife Mary; and several nieces and nephews.
Private cremation arrangements are under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
