Samuel Ramsay, age 75, of Beverly Hills, FL passed away Friday March 31, 2017 at the Life Care Center of Lecanto. Samuel was born in Belmont, Trinidad to the late Edmey and Audrey (Mapp) Ramsay. He was married to his loving wife Delsa for 26 years until her passing on March 17, 2015.
Samuel was employed as a Plumber for the City of New York. After retirement, he made Sugarmill Woods, FL his home in 2003 and eventually made Beverly Hills his home in 2007. While a resident of New York, Samuel was a very active member of his local Masonic Lodge. After retirement, he made an effort to always stay busy, whether it was working around the house or looking for some odd job to do. Samuel will be remembered as a wonderful father that greatly loved his children and taking care of them over the years.
Those left to mourn Samuel’s passing and cherish his precious memory are his sons: Ben Ramsay and his fiancee’ Nicole Torres of Beverly Hills, FL, Robert Ramsay and his wife Urania of Tucson, AZ, Anthony Ramsay of Trinidad, Michael Adams of Pennsylvania and Joshua Ramsay of Inverness; his daughters: Monique Ramsay of Inverness, and Vernise Couch and her husband Bernard Couch, Jr. of Brooklyn, N.Y. Samuel, who was preceded in death by 7 brothers, is also survived by his remaining brother, Max Ramsay of Trinidad; his many nieces and nephews, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Private cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
