Michele Ann Ryan, age 47, of Floral City, FL passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017 with her loving family by her side at the HPH Care Center, Brooksville. Michele was born on December 30, 1969 in Red Bank, N.J. to Katherine Julia (Baum) and the late Robert Joseph Ryan.

Florida became her home when she was 6 years old after her family relocated from New Jersey. Michele graduated from Citrus High School in 1989 and was a member of the ROTC. She attended Mansfield Business School in Mansfield, TX then returned to Florida and graduated in 1997 from WTI Corrections Academy. Michele went on to become a Correctional Officer for the Hernando County Jail. A Baptist by faith, she enjoyed singing hymns and having informal church services at home with her family. Michele was a gifted poet and has numerous journals filled with her work. She was an avid knife collector, extremely patriotic and proud to be an American Citizen. She was a great supporter of our troops. Michele will be remembered as an extremely kind, loving, forgiving person and a dedicated mother and grandmother.

Those left to mourn Michele’s passing are her significant other of 25 years, Anna Barrientos of Floral City, FL; daughter, Katherine Marques (Mathew) of Inverness, FL; adopted son, Anthony Smith of Floral City, FL; stepdaughters: Rosemary Schoenagel of Gadsden, AL, Bobbie Jo Vega (Carlos) of Tulsa, OK, Joann Williams of Brooksville, FL, Sonya Williams (Cedric) of Ocala, FL, Carol Barrientos of Gadsden, AL; brother, Christopher Ryan (Angie) of Inverness, FL; sisters: Katherine Gaytan (Jorge) of Raleigh, N.C., Karen Ryan and Lynn Ryan of Inverness, FL; grandchildren: Hailey, Gabriel, Devon, Dylan, Hector, Jonathan, Christopher, Kaden, Felipe, Cedric Jr., Kenny, Victor Jr., Rosa, Isabella, Anna, Natalia, Elizabeth, Allison, Sophia; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, Michele was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Farley in 2013.

A Funeral Service for Michele will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 2:00 PM from the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Pastor David Lucas of the Inverness Church of God officiating. Burial will follow the service at Hills of Rest Cemetery in Floral City, FL. Arrangements are under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
