George Gajentan

George Gajentan, 86, of Eustis, and formerly of Homosassa, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Florida Hospital Waterman in Tavares. Mr. Gajentan was born on April 26, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois to the late George and Elsie (DeHaun) Gajentan.

He was a US Air Force Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict and retired as a master corrosion mechanic for Peoples Gas Company. George was a pastel artist and enjoyed model airplanes, camping and fishing. He was Protestant by faith.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 63 years, Dorothy; his son Erwin Gajentan and his wife Kay of Grand Island, FL; his daughter Linda Hyatt Boone and her husband Alan of Howey-in-the-Hills, FL; 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. George was preceded in death by his brother John M. Gajentan and his sister Rita Smith.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Wednesday from 11 AM until 12 noon, at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home in Inverness. Graveside services with full military honors will be held at 1:00 PM from the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
