Susan Elizabeth Hanson, 76, of Tad, passed away February 27, 2017, at CAMC Memorial Division following a short illness.

Susan was born April 3, 1940, and lived most of her life on Campbell’s Creek. She retired to Floral City, Florida, in 2001 and returned to Tad in 2015. She was a longtime member of the Big Bottom Missionary Baptist Church of Tad, having attended the Fort Cooper Baptist Church of Inverness, Florida, while residing there.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Randall Hanson; parents, Thomas and Beatrice Perry; sisters, Phyllis Campbell, Barbara Ann Perry, Mary Thompson; and brothers, Thomas R. Perry II and Edward Perry.
Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Susan Hanson of Tad and Todd and Leandra Hanson of Rockcastle; sisters, Ruth Gibson of Vincent, Ohio, and Paula Rudder of Crystal River, Florida; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at the Big Bottom Missionary Baptist Church, Tad. Interment will be held in Hills of Rest Cemetery, Floral City Saturday , March 4th at 11:00 A.M., with Rev. Marne Palmani officiating. Visitation at Chas E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, FL on Saturday from 9:30 until 10:30 A.M. before leaving for the cemetery.

Due to traveling to Florida for interment, the family suggest in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Big Bottom Missionary Baptist Church, 3456 Tower Drive, Tad, WV 25306.
