Mary L. Murray, age 97, of Lecanto, FL passed away February 20, 2017 at Superior Residences of Lecanto. Mary was born on May 13, 1919 in Duluth, MN to the late Simon A. and Esther (Blackwood) Tessman. She was a homemaker throughout her life and was married to Rollin L. Murray until his passing on March 1, 1999. Mary made Citrus County her home in 2014 after relocating from Bradenton, FL. She was a Christian by faith and enjoyed playing Bridge and reading in her spare time.
Those left to mourn Mary’s passing and cherish her precious memory are her son, Robert L. Murray and his wife Joan of Inverness, FL; daughter, Jeana H. Gambino and her husband Frank of Lake Orion, MI; grandchildren: Rob and Amanda; and great grandchildren: Abigail, Olivia and Ella. In addition to her husband, Mary was preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth “Buddy” Shotwell. Mary’s urn will be laid to rest with her husband at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
