Rosemarie M. Santero, age 78, of Inverness, FL passed away February 12, 2017 at Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast, Lecanto. Rosemarie was born on October 7, 1938 in Staten Island, N.Y. to the late Vincent and Madeline (Yenny) Cowhig.
Rosemarie shared 57 loving years of marriage with Daniel Santero. She worked as a Food Caterer throughout her life. In 1989, she and Daniel made Citrus County their home after relocating from Staten Island, N.Y. She was a Catholic by faith and formerly attended services at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Inverness. Rosemarie was a proud member of the Citrus County Italian-American Club where she enjoyed playing cards with fellow members. She was a member of the SHARE Club and also enjoyed playing bingo, going to the beach and spending time with her family, friends, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband Daniel, those left to mourn Rosemarie’s passing are her son, Daniel Santero, Jr. of Inverness, FL; daughter, Susan Pepe and her husband Louis of Floral City, FL; brother, Vincent Cowhig and his wife Ann of Manahawkin, N.J.; sister, Regina Dugan and her husband Charles of Staten Island, N.Y.; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Service for Rosemarie is planned for Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 11:00 AM located at the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends in visitation at the funeral home beginning at 9:00 AM until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Rosemarie’s memory to Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast, P.O. Box 641270, Beverly Hills, FL 34464.
