Vincent Salvatore Trezza, age 87, of Inverness, FL passed away January 5, 2017 at Citrus Memorial Hospital, Inverness. Vincent was born on March 30, 1929 in Bronx, N.Y. to the late Joseph J and Concetta (Sasso) Trezza. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy.
In 1956 he married Jean Theresa Gallina with whom he shared 60 years of loving marriage. Vincent worked as a foreman in the construction industry for 53 years. In 1981 he moved to Spring Hill, FL from Staten Island, N.Y. then made Inverness his home in 1995. A Catholic by faith, Vincent was a parishioner at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Inverness, FL.
In his spare time, Vincent enjoyed playing poker with friends and family. He also enjoyed an occasional visit to the racetrack to watch the horse racing. He was very handy, having worked in construction throughout his life and he could fix anything. He also loved sharing good food and conversation with friends.
In addition to his loving wife, Jean Theresa Trezza, those left to mourn Vincent’s passing are his sons: Vincent L. Trezza of Martinsburg, W.V., Mark J. Trezza of Long Branch, N.J.; and 4 grandchildren: Dominic, Angelo, Katie and Christina. In addition to his parent’s, Vincent was preceded in death by his brothers: Anthony R. Trezza and James Trezza and sister, Christina Aversa.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service is planned for Friday, January 13, 2017 at 11:00 AM from the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL with Father Claudius Mganga, of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church officiating. The family will receive friends in visitation beginning at 10:00 AM until the hour of service. Graveside services will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL at 12:30 PM, with full military honors being rendered by Inverness VFW Post #4377. Arrangements are under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
