Beatrice E. Bellis, 95, of Floral City, FL passed away January 5, 2017 at Citrus Health & Rehab in Inverness, FL. She was born in Wayne, NY on October 14, 1921 to the late Harry and Carrie (Crookston) Houck. Beatrice was a dedicated homemaker, and arrived in this area in 1983, coming from Dundee, NY. She attended Floral City First United Methodist Church, and enjoyed going to church and spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 38 years, Charles S. Bellis in 1981, her brother Carl Houck, and her sisters Mildred McIntire and Laura Longwell. Survivors include her children Mark Bellis and his wife Jacqueline of Dundee, NY, and Brenda Katz of Arden, NC; grandson Brandon and great-grandsons Joseph and Dominick. Beatrice’s urn will be laid to rest at Hillside Cemetery, Dundee, NY at a later date.
