Madeleine L. Stephens, 97, Inverness passed away Dec 8, 2016 at Citrus Memorial Hospital. Mrs Stephens was born in Woonsocket, RI to the late Moise and Cora (Herbert) Gadoury and moved to this area in 2015 from St Cloud, FL. She was a homemaker and an entrepreneur, having owned and operated 2 restaurants and was a leading sales associate in the jewelry business.
Left to mourn her loss are 6 children, Maurice (Rachael) Stephens, Jacksonville, fL; Bert (Jane) Stephens, Live Oak FL; Paul (Shirley) Stephens, Live Oak, FL; Jeanne (Harvey) Parsons, Inverness; Muriel Brown, Albany, GA; Constance (Howard) Buttery, Ocala, FL; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by 3 husbands, Edgar Durand, Raymond DeFond, and Sidney Stephens.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, Dec 13, 2016 at 12 Noon from the Chas E Davis Funeral Home with Dr. Leary Willis, Jr officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00 PM at Florida National Cemetery. The family will receive friends in visitation Tuesday from 11:00 AM until the service begins
